Dear Faculty,
The Spring 2025 Midterm Advisory Grade rosters are available in GU Experience. Faculty may submit advisory grades now through Friday, February 28. Advisory grades are Satisfactory (SM), Marginal (MM) and Unsatisfactory (UM).
To enter grades, go to GU Experience, Faculty and Advisors tab, select Faculty Grade Entry, Midterm Grades and choose from the list of courses open for grading to enter midterm advisory grades. Please refer to the Faculty Grading Video for more information.
Midterm advisory grade reports are shared with the students’ deans, who will follow up as needed. The deans interpret the advisory grades as follows:
Satisfactory (SM): Solid performance in the course in the range of a B- or above.
Marginal (MM): Passing performance in the course, in the C range, with room for improvement. Deans will contact students only when MM advisory grades are reported in two or more of their courses.
Unsatisfactory (UM): Poor performance in the course with a risk of failure. Deans will contact the student to discuss strategies for improvement. Deans may also reach out to faculty for additional feedback.
Please note: You may need to use DUO authentication in order to successfully access GU Experience. If you do not have DUO, you can find directions here.
If for some reason, you will not have a midterm performance measure for your students by February 28, please contact the student’s dean directly to report unsatisfactory or marginal performance as soon as you have evaluated your students. The deans depend on your midterm reports of marginal or unsatisfactory performance so that our students may be properly advised.
