Dear Friends,
The Office of the University Registrar, in collaboration with University Information Services and Ellucian, is excited to announce the long awaited upgrade of our student information system from MyAccess 8 to MyAccess 9. MyAccess 9 is scheduled to launch Monday, Sep 12, 2022. (In order to implement the upgrade MyAccess will not be available on Saturday, September 10.) When you log in to your student portal next week, you will see a new and improved view with enhanced functionality and system navigation.
Among the number of important enhancements from this upgrade is the transition to MyAccess 9 Self-service for our students, faculty and advisors. Georgetown is committed to academic excellence that provides students access to a world-class education. Transitioning to MyAccess 9 self-service allows us to upgrade to mobile access for student information, thereby providing students with an accessible and streamlined registration process.
In addition to a modernized user interface, MyAccess 9 self-service introduces enhanced functionality and accessibility. Here are just a few of the enhanced features to look forward to:
- “Advising Student Profile” consolidates a student’s profile, education and career path on a single page. It will be newly accessible to advisors and students, allowing for truly personalized advice to help students make better academic decisions.
- “Student Self Service” includes the “Plan Ahead” feature to facilitate quick enrollment from saved schedules ” and “Visual Weekly Class Schedule” with a calendar view.
- “Registration” includes a multi panel design to view Plan Ahead saved options alongside the student’s schedule.
Banner 9 delivers intuitive registration tools and a mobile-friendly design to make it easier than ever for students, advisors and administrators to use. It also includes seamless integration with Ellucian Degree Works, MyDegree, advisor access, and registration planning via Student Education Planner.
These new features will provide students the tools they need for a successful experience. To learn more about the new MyAccess 9 check out our webpage.
