Dear Students:
Through a special partnership between Georgetown and Gallaudet University, two courses in ASL(American Sign Language) will be offered on Georgetown’s campus this fall, ASL I and ASL II. ASL II requires that students have completed ASL I with a grade of B or better.
The courses are offered by Gallaudet through the Consortium. That is, they are Gallaudet courses with Gallaudet instructors. Some additional details:
- The courses are listed under the subject “Gallaudet College” in the Schedule of Classes
- Consistent with Consortium policies, the grade for the course will appear on the Georgetown transcript but will not count toward the Georgetown GPA.
- Students may count a total of four Consortium courses toward Georgetown degree requirements.
