Spring 2026 Registrar Welcome and Semester Information

Dear Faculty,
It’s my great pleasure to welcome you to the Spring 2026 semester. I hope you had a joyful winter break and are ready for the months ahead. Below you’ll find important information to help you get started, including key dates from the academic calendar.
Please be reminded that there are no classes on Monday, January 19 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) or Monday, February 16 (Presidents’ Day). Classes will follow a Monday schedule on Tuesday, February 17. (GUQ,MSB and SON faculty should consult with their programs for a complete list of important dates and deadlines.) Please be sure to review the academic calendar and update your syllabi in GU360 and Canvas accordingly.
- The academic calendar may be found on the Registrar’s website. Click here to review the multi-year main campus academic calendar.
- The last day of add/drop, Friday, January 16th; provided they meet the course prerequisites and any restrictions.
- If your class requires special permission, undergraduate students must complete the Spring 2026 Course Registration Add Form online and submit it before 5 p.m. on January 16. Prior to completing the form, students must receive the instructor’s permission via email and upload a copy with their request. Graduate students should contact their program advisor for assistance with special permission approvals.
- The Schedule of Classes is available at https://schedule.georgetown.edu for the most up-to-date room assignments.
- Spring 2026 Final Exam Schedule is published on the Registrar’s website. Final Exam room assignments will be posted later in the semester. Please be sure to update your department scheduler regarding your final exam room preferences. Questions regarding the Final Exam Policy, Schedule or Room Assignments can be sent to schedulechanges@georgetown.edu.
- GU Experience is the official student academic information portal. Click here to review user training and documentation
- Get the most up-to-date class rosters through GU Experience. If you have difficulty obtaining a roster from GU Experience, ask your department administrator for help. Please note: You may need to use DUO authentication in order to successfully access GU Experience. If you do not have DUO, you can find directions here. When you log on to GU Experience, you will need to have the DUO app open on your phone, as it will not open an automatic push notification window for you to approve.
Classroom Technology Support
CETS on the Hilltop:
Please take advantage of the services we offer through the OUR CETS team to review your classroom technology. You can set up an individual training session with the Classroom Manager(s) in the building(s) you teach in. If desired, you can also include a request for our partners at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) to join and discuss best practices in the space. Please make requests for specialized software or equipment more than two days in advance.
IST on the Capitol Campus:
If you need assistance while in a Capitol Campus classroom, please call IST for assistance at (202) 662-ZOOM. We highly recommend that you schedule an appointment with IST prior to your first class to go over the classroom technology. More information can be found on the Capitol Campus IT Services Website.

Accessibility Resources
We are committed to ensuring equitable access to all academic programs. To support this, we offer a variety of resources for faculty and students, including the CNDLS Guidebook on Accommodations and Accessibility, accessible course design guidance, recorded webinars , and an Accessibility Resources for Students page linked on all Canvas course sites.
For individual support, faculty and students can consult with CNDLS staff or contact the Academic Resource Center about specific accommodations. We encourage faculty to check in regularly with students about any changing access needs.
