BGE New School Assignment

Highlights Georgetown University is updating its systems to establish Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) under the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SM) school code within our academic hierarchy. This structural update allows for more accurate record keeping of BGE students’ academic records, courses, and faculty.

The realignment addresses a gap that administrators have been navigating for years, which is the need for dedicated medical center programs reporting, tailored grading schemas, and specialized academic processes.

Students will see their school affiliation accurately reflected on their academic records and official transcripts, streamlining the degree audit and graduation processes.
