Registration
for Spring 2010 Graduate | Undergraduate
The Office of the University Registrar is responsible for enabling students to register for courses in a timely and efficient way.
All graduate students at Georgetown should pre-register online through MyAccess and may use the following resources to aid their decision-making:

Nov. 2- 14 |
Pre-Registration
with MyAccess begins
at 12:01AM. Pre-Registration in person begins at 9:00AM. Engage in a conversation with your advisor to
plan the semester and to discuss your degree plan. Review your
academic
and biographic information and
review your record for financial, immunization, immigration,
or other blocks. Students with a registration block cleared
after Nov. 14 may register during Completion.
Students enrolled in Thesis Research will be automatically
pre-registered
for
Thesis Research unless intent
to graduate or request
for leave is initiated. If permission is required for a
course, please use the Course Permission Form. |

Nov. 12 |
Deadline for graduate students to submit schedule with MyAccess to
your advisor. If your advisor does not use MyAccess to Pre-Register, you will need to submit a Confirmation
of Advisement form. |

Pre-Registration Results
with MyAccess become
available. If you are not accepted for the number of classes
you requested, please continue to Completion. |

Pre-Registration Completion
begins with MyAccess.
If you have difficulty or don't use MyAccess, come to Pre-Register
in-person at the Office of the University
Registrar on December 10 or December 11. Confirmation
of Advisement from your advisor is required to initiate registration.

Deadline for bill pay for all students. Late payment fees will be applied
after January 13 by the Office
of Student
Accounts. |

Jan. 13 |
For students who did
not pre-register, online registration with MyAccess begins
at times indicated on the
registration
schedule
for Jaunary 13. Engage in a conversation with
your
advisor
to plan the semester and to discuss your degree plan.
All students should review their academic and biographic

or other blocks. If permission is required for a course, please
use an Add/Drop form. A late registration fee will be charged
by
the University Registrar after January 13. Students
may not register after January 22. See your Dean if you have concerns. |

Jan. 13-22

Add/drop with MyAccess
begins during your scheduled time. Completed paper forms may
be returned to the Office of the University
Registrar during business hours. Students who initiate
course registration and defer tuition payments after January 22 will be charged an $80 late registration fee. The 100% refund period ends on January 26,
2010. The refund credit will be calculated from the date that
the student's Dean is notified in writing. |
- MyAccess services
require a NetID and password. See the University Information
Services Helpdesk or
University Registrar if you do not have this information.
- "Permission
required" courses will require you to complete a Course
Permission Form. Graduate
students must submit this
form and
an outline
of study
to their advisor for approval. Registration for tutorials
require Dean's approval.
- Students are expected to request the schedule approved by their academic advisor. Deans reserve the right to require changes if, in the Dean's judgment, the student deviates from curricular guidelines. Students must check their
email regularly, if there is a scheduling change, the student will be notified.
- Check on the online class schedule to confirm courses, times, and rooms just before the start of classes. Some departments make last time and/or course changes.
- On the first Wednesday of the semester, classes follow a regular Monday schedule.
- Students with disabilities should
contact the Office of Learning
and Disability Support Services to receive appropriate registration
assistance.
