Georgetown University Registrar | Student Access+ Student Access+ Registration Instructions

Pre-Registration
Once you've successfully logged into Student Access+, you may arrange courses in order of preference. The scheduling algorithm will process your requests based on your class year, major, and priority as indicated by the sequence of courses (first request, second request, etc.) Be sure to indicate which alternates go with your primary choices. Juniors [U3] and Seniors [U4] are given priority for two prioritized courses within their major[s]. You may list your required courses last in order to use your first request for a popular, non-major elective unless you are in a language major where all majors cannot get into their courses.

Use the Course Panel to select and add courses to your schedule. You may do this via the Course # Entry option of Select from List option. Enter all primary requests before any alternate course choices. Use alternates and the any selection option to improve chances of getting a complete schedule. Primaries are scheduled before alternates.

When adding a course, messages associated with that course may appear. For example, some courses are restricted to students in a particular school, major, or class. Please pay attention to these messages and change your course selections as necessary. The application may allow you to request courses for which you are not eligible. If you place a request for which you are ineligible, that course will be rejected when the scheduling algorithm processes your request at the end of Pre-Registration. Notations in the the Schedule of Classes indentify courses that require instructor or department permission to register. Please submit a course permission form to the University Registrar for these courses.

Do not wait until the last minute or forget to SUBMIT course requests when you are satisfied with your course selections. Once you submit your request and forward it to your advisor and Dean to approve it, you may not make additional changes until Pre-Registration Completion. You may visit the University Registrar for help if you have difficulty using the web to pre-register.

Registration and Add/Drop
Once you've successfully logged into Student Access+, you may register or add/drop courses according to the registration schedule. When adding a course, messages associated with that course may appear. For example, some courses are restricted to students in a particular school, major, or class. Please pay attention to these messages and change your course selections as necessary. For high demand courses, you may need to add yourself to a waitlist.

Notations in the the Schedule of Classes identify courses that require instructor or department permission to register. Please submit an Add/Drop form to the University Registrar for these courses. You may visit the University Registrar for help if you have difficulty using the web to register and add/drop.
